INTRODUCING… GOVS (JOSIAH BIRRELL)

The 'Free Download' section of this blog was looking a bit lonely, so I decided to look for some new songs today to fill it up a bit. The first song I found was this one, Merseybeat, by a little Australian man known as GOVS, or just simply Josiah Birrell. I can't believe this doesn't even have 300 views on YouTube; this world is kind of sad sometimes… Anyway, give it a go and download it if you wish to.
The more I listen to it, the more I like it!

INTRODUCING… DAMIEN JURADO

This is definitely my jam of the week! Can't remember where I found it, but it was on my YouTube history a while ago, so I gave it a go the other day and fell in love. As if one Damien (Rice) wasn't enough… Damien Jurado just made my week better with Museum of Flight. ☺
PS- I found a download link for this, but not sure if it's legal or not, so I won't post it juust yet!

STAY AWAKE TO BREAK THE HABIT, SING IN PRAISE OF JACKSON CROWTHER

I've been really into Vampire Weekend lately, which actually kind of sucks because they're playing in Tokyo on Saturday and I won't be there… I guess I'll have to live with it. Here's m79 by this kick ass band.

DOWN BY THE PEOPLE IF THEY LET YOU BREATHE, DON'T GIVE A DAMN IF YOU STILL CAN'T SEE

Jake Bugg, you beautiful human being…
Everything about this man is so perfect, and he is only 18 years old! I don't think I'll ever stop saying this: the Brits sure have the absolute fucking best musicians! Below is my favorite song by Bugg, Broken.

YOU OUGHTA LOOK OUT ALSO STANDS FOR YOLO

Anyone who's ever heard The Lonely Island knows they're the silliest "group" ever, (I can't believe they're even considered as 'musicians'). Anyway, here's their latest 'hit' (sadly), but I will admit, as trashy as it is, they somehow always manage to make their songs funny and somewhat good. I mean, Natalie Portman anyone? Beats any rapper all day, every day!
YOLO features Adam Levine and Kendrick Lamar. Enjoy?

I DON'T EVER WANT TO LET YOU DOWN, I DON'T EVER WANT TO LEAVE THIS TOWN

I'm pretty sure I have developed a little crush on Imagine Dragons over the past few months, and It's Time definitely takes home the prize for best song! ha

Such an awesome band.

MAYBE A LITTLE SLICKER FOR THE RAIN, MAYBE JUST A GOOD BOOK AND A HEART TO BREAK

Prepare yourself for this, because it is hands down the best song you'll hear all week. Here's Mother Mother's insanely good song, Bit By Bit.

A CERTIFICATE ON PAPER ISN'T GONNA CHANGE IT ALL, BUT IT'S A DAMN GOOD PLACE TO START

I'm usually not the biggest hip-hop fan, but there's a few songs here and there that I like to listen to once in a while, and Same Love by Macklemore, Ryan Lewis and Mary Lambert is just one of them. Such an awesome song, and — quoting a comment I just saw— "It takes balls for a straight rapper to risk his career and call out the homophobia in the Hip-Hop industry."

DANCE LOVE AND DIE WHILE WE'RE YOUNG

It's been a while since I last posted a mashup, so here it goes. This one is called Dance, Love And Die While We're Young, and it's by the one and only Marc Johnce. (Duh!) In case you're wondering, this beauty has 31 artists, and I believe they're all from 2012. If there's one thing I know, you can't go with Marc-fucking-Johnce. DJ Earworm who?

Artists featured include: One Direction, Jennifer Lopez, Pitbull, Pixie Lott, Carly Rae Jepsen, Owl City, PSY, Katy Perry, Rihanna, David Guetta, Nicki Minaj, Jason Derulo, Madonna, SIA, Kelly Clarkson, Taio Cruz, Calvin Harris, Swedish House Mafia, Flo Rida, Alicia Keys, and more...

DAMN YOU THINK YOU'RE CLEVER FROM A DISTANCE,BUT CAN YOU MAKE ME BETTER IN AN INSTANCE

You may or may not remember a previous post on eurasian singer KENTÖ, who's E.P. was produced by none other than Frankmusik. Well, he recently released his first track, Complicated, from the upcoming EP, and it's so awesome! I'm so happy for my buddy Kento, glad it's finally working out for him! Can't wait to hear what's next.
