Wow, I completely forgot about this song, and it's pretty kick-ass. Starships was released about 2 weeks ago, and it's making me want to see Nicki Minaj live even more now! I can't wait until she comes to Tokyo!

SLIIMY COVERS LANA DEL REY

Sliimy, who happens to be one of my favorite french artists (and also my big brother!), has just released a cover of Blue Jeans by Lana Del Rey! I love this man's voice. 

THE VACCINES AND HOWLER DO TOKYO

Last night I had the pleasure of attending the The Vaccines' show, who were joined by Minnesotan band, Howler. Truth is, I basically went to that show to see Howler play Back of Your Neck (which I had previously blogged about) and it was amazing! The Vaccines were also great, although a bit too drunk, but I'd say that made the show even better.

PS- The Vaccines announced at their show last night that they will be returning to Tokyo in August for Summer Sonic 2012. 

UPDATE: As I had previously stated, The Vaccines will be back for Summer Sonic, and now word is Howler will be back for Fuji Rock Festival. I'm very excited for both.

HOSTESS CLUB WEEKENDER 2012 - TOKYO'S INDIE FESTIVAL

One of my new favorite music festivals in Tokyo, Hostess Club Weekender, is coming up this weekend. I'm so sad that I won't be here for both days, but at least one is better than none!

I found Benjamin Francis Leftwich on Tumblr last week, and have been practically playing him non stop ever since. His voice makes me want to stay in bed forever, while drinking a cup of hot chocolate with marshmallows. Yes, that is definitely a compliment. If only it was raining outside, this post would be 39023 times more magical.

PS. Anyone know if this man is single? I don't care (and don't know) what he looks like, I would love to fall asleep to him singing to me every single night for the rest of my life.

INTRODUCING... THE FORMAT

After years of using Jango, one of my friends finally convinced me to start using Last.fm instead. I've only been using it for about half an hour, and I already found a great band: The Format! After doing a bit of research on them, I found out that the band split up in 2008, the singer, Sam Means, went solo, and the guitarist, Nate Ruess, is now a part of one of the most amazing bands, Fun.!
